Vantage Building Control Ltd was formed by company directors Tony Harvey-Soanes and Russell Beaumont following successful approval by the Construction Industry Council Approved Inspector Register (CICAIR). This approval enables Vantage Building Control Ltd to carry out the Building Control function for a range of diverse clients and projects.
Tony has been in the Building Control profession since 2004 and has worked at both Local Authority and Approved Inspectors, delivering the Building Control function on a wide variety of projects, from domestic properties to large commercial and retail developments.
Tony is an RICS APC Mentor, RICS ISURV author, CICAIR committee member and a Chartered Building Control Surveyor with extensive experience of the application of Building Regulations within the building procurement, design and construction process.
As with Tony, Russell’s Building Control career started in 2004. Prior to starting Vantage Building Control in 2019, Russell had worked for two different Kent Local Authorities and also another private Approved Inspector. Russell has successfully managed over 2000 projects ranging from domestic projects to multi-million pound large scale residential schemes.
Lu joined us in February 2020 to oversee the business support function and quality management systems. She previously worked for an international publishers and developed her own family business.
She has a keen interest in HR and is currently undertaking a masters in Human Resource Management.
In her spare time she manages a mental health forum which was founded in 2012 and chairs her local youth football club.
Andrew joined our Suffolk office in August 2020.
He was previously a Clerk of Works for a large Housing Association for a number of years before joining an Approved Inspector in 2015.
Andrew has successfully managed a wide variety of Building Control projects including domestic extensions, residential new build schemes and a mix of commercial projects.
He also has a keen interest in motor sports and classic cars.
Chris joined our Kent office in October 2020. He started his Building Control career in 2018, following 5 years of hands on experience working on site. A graduate in Sport and Nutrition Science, now studying an MSc in Building Surveying alongside full time work, Chris is well on his way to achieving membership of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers and Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
So far in his Building Control career Chris has project managed a number of schemes varying from domestic extensions, larger new build developments and commercial projects.
